Arrival and reception:
The group will be received at the airport or train station in Mérida on October 28, 2026. It is important that you make sure to arrive on time for the transfer to Hotel El Conquistador. Upon check-in, there will be an informative meeting with your assigned guide, who will present the detailed program and answer any questions you may have before starting the activities.
Paseo de las Ánimas - October 31:
One of the most special moments of the tour is participating in the Paseo de las Ánimas. The meeting is scheduled for 18:00 hours at the General Cemetery of Mérida. Punctuality is recommended, as this procession is a massive event that gathers hundreds of people. Traditional attire will be included: huipil and headpiece for women, and guayabera and hat for men. We ask you to wear the outfit properly and respectfully, as it is part of a deeply meaningful cultural tradition for the Yucatecan community.
Mayan cooking class:
During the visit to Hacienda Sotuta de Peón on October 30, you will participate in a Mayan cooking class where you will learn to prepare PIB (Mucbipollo), a traditional dish of the season. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, we recommend informing your guide or tour operator in advance so the necessary measures can be taken.
Bilingual guide:
Throughout the tour, you will be accompanied by a bilingual guide at every activity. This professional will provide information in Spanish and English about the traditions, history, and culture of Yucatán. Take advantage of their knowledge to enrich your experience at every site visited.
Meals:
Remember that the package only includes the daily buffet breakfast at the hotel. For lunches and dinners, we suggest exploring the wide range of restaurants in Mérida and the surroundings, where you can try traditional Yucatecan dishes such as cochinita pibil, panuchos, and much more. It is advisable to carry some cash to cover these meals during daily outings.
Transportation:
Transfers between the different itinerary destinations are included. However, remember that transport from Cancún to Mérida is not included in the package, so you must arrange it independently if your point of arrival is Cancún airport.
Free time suggestion:
On Day 2 (October 29), after visiting Uxmal and Choco-Story, you will have free time. It is suggested to use this time to enjoy a Turibus ride, departing from Plaza Paseo 60, an excellent way to get to know the main points of interest in Mérida comfortably and entertainingly.
