Day 1: .Bucharest The Capital

We’ll spend the day exploring the historic core and Old Town of the capital on foot. Starting at the Romanian Atheneum, we’ll continue to Revolution Square and wander through the city’s historic heart—Stavropoleos Monastery, old merchant inns, cobbled streets, and ornate façades. We’ll then follow grand boulevards to the Palace of the Parliament, ending with a stroll through green gardens and along Calea Victoriei, Bucharest’s most elegant avenue. Day 2: Along The Transfagarsan Mountain Road

Today we’ll drive the Transfăgărășan Highway, one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain roads, crossing the Southern Carpathians and the Făgăraș Mountains, Romania’s highest range, with alpine scenery and possible wildlife sightings. We’ll visit Poenari Castle (via about 1,480 steps) and stop at Vidraru Dam and Lake for panoramic views. Continuing along the road’s famous winding section and tunnels, we’ll pause at Bâlea Lake and Bâlea Waterfall for viewpoints and short hikes before arriving in Sibiu for an overnight stay. Day 3: Sibiu European Capital Of Culture

In the morning, we’ll explore Sibiu’s Old Town, one of Romania’s most beautiful and multicultural cities, founded by the Saxons and once a European Capital of Culture. We’ll stroll through the Large and Small Squares, lined with colorful guild houses and the city’s distinctive “eyes,” and cross historic bridges, including the Bridge of Lies. Afterward, we’ll drive to Petreștii de Jos for an adventurous Via Ferrata hike in Turda Gorge, then continue to Turda to visit the impressive salt mines. Day 4: Cluj Napoca And Rural Transylvania

We’ll start the day on foot in Cluj-Napoca’s Old Town, visiting its main landmarks: Banffy Palace, Union Square (Piața Unirii), and St. Michael’s Church. We’ll stroll through Central Park and climb Cetățuia Hill for panoramic views. Later, we’ll drive into rural Transylvania to the picturesque village of Beliș in the Apuseni Mountains, surrounded by forests and rolling hills, and relax by Lake Beliș-Fântânele. Day 5: Hiking In The Wild Nature Of The Apuseni Natural Park

We’ll start the day on foot in Cluj-Napoca’s Old Town, visiting its main landmarks: Banffy Palace, Union Square (Piața Unirii), and St. Michael’s Church. Lake Beliș-Fântânele & Mărchiș Meadow Trail Route: Lake Beliș-Fântânele → Mărchiș Meadow → Lake Beliș-Fântânele Distance & Duration: ~8 km, 2.5–3 hours Highlights: Relaxed lakeside hiking with forest views and panoramic scenery from Mărchiș Meadow. Sighiștel Canyon Trail Route: Sighiștel Village → Drăcoaia Cave → Sighiștel Canyon → Sighiștel Village Distance & Duration: ~9 km, 3–3.5 hours Highlights: A dramatic route through dense forest, rock formations, waterfalls, and river crossings, with some assisted sections. Petresei Circuit Trail Route: Pietroasa Peak → Cabana Tudor → Pietroasa Creek → Pietroasa Peak Distance & Duration: ~12 km, 4–4.5 hours Highlights: Panoramic views over valleys and karst terrain, passing traditional pastures and quiet woodland. Day 6: Sighișoara A Unesco World Heritage Site

We’ll drive south to Târgu Mureș, a vibrant Transylvanian city known for its multicultural heritage, Austro-Hungarian architecture, and lively cultural scene, and explore its main sights on foot. We’ll then continue to Sighișoara, a charming medieval town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we’ll stroll along cobbled streets lined with well-preserved houses and stone churches, soaking in its fairytale atmosphere. Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Sighișoara.


Day 7: Brașov The Pearl Of The Carpathian Mountains

We’ll drive south to Viscri, one of Transylvania’s most famous Saxon villages, featuring a UNESCO-listed fortified church, whitewashed houses, and timeless rural charm. Next, we’ll continue to Brașov, a picturesque city at the foot of the Carpathians, renowned for its well-preserved medieval center. We’ll explore the old town on foot and discover the lasting Saxon influence on its castles, churches, and architecture. Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Brașov.


Day 8: Count Dracula’s Castle In Bran

We’ll spend most of the day exploring nature and sights around Brașov. In the morning, we’ll drive to Bran to visit Bran Castle—the 1382 fortress often linked to Count Dracula—and explore its maze-like rooms while learning about Vlad Țepeș. We’ll then continue to Piatra Craiului National Park to visit Peștera Urșilor, one of Romania’s most impressive caves. On the way back, we’ll stop at the Liberty Bear Sanctuary, a forest refuge for rescued bears Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Brașov.


Day 9: Monasteries, Palaces And Back To Bucharest

We’ll drive south through the Prahova Valley at the foot of Bucegi National Park in the Carpathian Mountains to Sinaia—the “Pearl of the Carpathians,” set among forested hills and ski slopes. We’ll visit Sinaia Monastery, a historic Eastern Orthodox monastery from the late 17th century, and continue to Peleș Castle, one of Romania’s most spectacular royal residences, known for its Neo-Renaissance architecture. We’ll then drive back to Bucharest. End of the trip.
